Comprehensive Therapy

"...maybe it’s about the wonderful things that may happen if you break the ropes that are holding you.”
~ Mary Oliver
Lorraine McKenzie MSW LCSW
My Approach

I am a neurodiversity-affirming therapist. I named my practice, "Comprehensive Therapy," because I support individuals to look at all aspects of their lives - their sleep, nutrition, social interactions, emotional and physical well-being, as well as what Joseph Campbell called, "that sacred space where you can find yourself over and over again." From my perspective (and experience), most of the difficulties that bring us to therapy involve our "whole" selves, and so I try to keep that in mind as we do our work together supporting your healing and movement towards your goals.

About Me

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and therapist who works with individuals 18 + old who may be experiencing challenges with adult autism, social anxiety disorder, anxiety related to a medical condition, OCD, psychosis, insomnia, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders. I have a particular passion supporting adults on the autism spectrum to live their fullest lives. I also love supporting other individuals to navigate life transitions and take on career exploration.

I believe that with positive support we all can tap into our own brilliance and lead full and useful lives.

Helpful Resources

The Internet has made finding supportive mental wellness information relatively easy - however, it is important to carefully vet the information you find. There are far too many oppressive, inaccurate and negative websites out there that can be harmful to your well-being. Here are some of the resources I have reviewed that are solution-focused and support the notion that we can, in fact, heal ourselves. I hope you’ll find these resources helpful.
