NAMI Oregon ~ National Alliance on Mental Illness​

NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.

EASA ~ Early Assessment and Support Alliance

The Early Assessment and Support Alliance is a network of programs and individuals across Oregon who are focused on providing rapid identification, support, assessment and treatment for teenagers and young adults who are experiencing the early signs of psychosis. EASA is designed as a transitional program, with the goal of providing the education and resources the person needs to be successful in the long-term. Most individuals participate in EASA for about two years, although that time frame varies.

Autism Society of Oregon

Autism is the fastest growing developmental disability in Oregon – and the world. If you haven’t already, you will meet someone with autism. The Autism Society of Oregon is Oregon’s leading organization providing resources, education, advocacy and support for individuals and families living with autism.

Portland Aspergers Network (PAN)

Portland Aspergers Network is a parent support organization in Portland, Oregon. PAN assists families and people living with Asperger's Syndrome, High Functioning Autism (HFA), PDD-NOS and an umbrella of high-functioning autism spectrum disorders.

Adult Asperger & Autism Portland Support Group

Adult Asperger & Autism Portland Support Group is a collaborative, peer-facilitated support group run by and for late-diagnosed mature autistic (ASD) adults who live in or who have recently moved to the Portland, Oregon metro area. The group addresses concerns related to housing, access to community resource providers and agencies, employment and adult relationships. 

Oregon Family Support Network (OFSN)

OFSN is a statewide non-profit organization that supports families who are raising a child with significant mental health challenges.

OFSN provides education, support and advocacy for individual families and support systems.

Based in Seattle, this is a global community for advice, emotional support, best practices, created by people with Asperger’s. (Note: there are some excellent free materials but they also have information to purchase.)

US Department of Veterans Affairs: National Center for PTSD

The National Center for PTSD is dedicated to research and education on trauma and PTSD. We work to assure that the latest research findings help those exposed to trauma.
